Looking back on the past two semesters of clinical correlations there are some skills that I have noticed improvement, and some that I recognize still require more focus throughout the upcoming clinical year. I notice that my ability to form a differential diagnosis has improved greatly. During the first semester I would concentrate on the most severe diagnosis and the most obvious diagnosis. As we worked through more patients and cases I have noticed that I am able to broaden my differential by including other systems and disease states. After eliciting the history and forming a differential list I feel that during clinical rotations I need to improve in which labs/imaging studies to order and interpreting their results in a timely manner.
