For Psych site evaluations we met over Zoom to discuss H&Ps, journal articles, and pharm cards. At the first site visit I presented an H&P from a patient I saw during my first week in CPEP. The patient was brought to the emergency room by their family for suicidal ideation. Unfortunately, this was a common chief complaint to see in CPEP and it was important to determine each patient’s risk factors.

At the second site visit I presented another H&P and a journal article. I presented a young teenager who was brought in by the school social worker for concern of self injury. The social worker was concerned that the patient was cutting themselves, the patient and their family had a different story. The article I presented was about long term outcomes associated with self harm as an adolescent. We discussed the difficulties of performing such a study over 20+ years.
